Hi, my name is Michael Storey and I am the IRAA President. I am a Rho Kappa alumnus, having graduated from Elgin Community College in 2004. During my time as a Rho Kappa member, I served as Vice President of the chapter, and as the 2003-2004 Division III International Vice President. After receiving two Associates degrees from ECC, I received my Bachelors degree from Roosevelt University in 2006, and went on to complete my MBA from Webster University in 2012.
I have been a member of Gamma of Illinois since its founding in 2005, and a member of the Illinois Regional Alumni Association since I graduated from ECC. I recently completed a two year term as President of IRAA, as part of the group that brought back IRAA, after a 10 year hiatus. During that time, I helped complete a bylaw revision, and worked to open IRAA’s first bank account, PayPal account and credit card processing. I continue to be active in all levels of Phi Theta Kappa, and enjoy spending time volunteering with other community organizations, including Food For Greater Elgin.
Professionally, I am the co-founder and Managing Partner of Beckatt Solutions, a Chicagoland-based distributor of 3D printers and related technologies. I have worked in technology and equipment sales for three years. Serving as one Managing Partner, I oversee sales and marketing, as well as new business development. Prior to starting Beckatt Solutions, I worked at Elgin Country Club as the Director of Membership and Marketing. I spent 13 years at Elgin Country Club, six of them as Membership Director.
